But it already had some great guitar riffs and vocal melodies. So the three of us jammed a bit and worked out the song&#8217;s structure. Probably to the annoyance of our upstairs neighbors. But sometimes you just have to keep repeating the same thing over and over to get a few sparks of inspiration.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_341\" style=\"width: 594px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.charliemccarron.com\/songaweek\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/brandon-singing-cropped.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-341\" class=\"size-large wp-image-341\" title=\"brandon-singing-cropped\" src=\"http:\/\/www.charliemccarron.com\/songaweek\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/brandon-singing-cropped-1024x814.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"464\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.charliemccarron.com\/songaweek\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/brandon-singing-cropped-1024x814.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.charliemccarron.com\/songaweek\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/brandon-singing-cropped-300x238.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.charliemccarron.com\/songaweek\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/brandon-singing-cropped-377x300.jpg 377w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-341\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Brandon recording some soothing backing vocals. Six takes total, and since he was right on pitch every time, I used them all!<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I really had no idea what Jake would bring to the table, since I hadn&#8217;t heard him play guitar or sing solo. I think his voice is pretty awesome, though, and his guitar skills are honed. Hopefully we&#8217;ll hear more solo stuff from Jake soon.<\/p>\n<p>Jake, Brandon, and my cousins Matt and Nate Graves are all in the band <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/withagunforaface\">With A Gun For A Face<\/a>. They play around the Twin Cities quite a lot, so check out one of their shows.
