Dragon Insurance is a competitive word-building game for 2-5 players that takes 20 minutes to play.

You’re a medieval insurance agent strategically insuring castles, sheep, knights–everything dragons love to burn. And the dragons are looming above, ready to descend and torch everything in their path!

The game is played in three acts:

  • Act I: Sell Insurance – secretly form words in each area using the letters there.
  • Act II: Dragon Destruction – you become the dragons, burning one letter at a time and collectively forming words.
  • Act II: Insurance Claims – everyone reveals their secret words to see how much they gained from insurance premiums and lost due to dragon obliteration.

Dragon Insurance is my submission for Cardboard Edison 2020. It’s still in the prototype phase, and I’ll be looking for a publisher for the game. If you’d like to get in touch, feel free to email me: charliemccarron [at] gmail [dot] com.
